Margie Church & K.B. Cutter, featuring Razor: Desire's Edge

What kind of woman invites another woman into her perfectly wonderful marriage?

That's what Amy Gage did.

Today, we don't want to rehash a lot of what has already been said, but that's the crux of Razor: Desire's Edge. Amy's unusual request of her husband sets the wheels in motion to change every dynamic in their marriage and relationships with others.

At first blush, the typical person would think she's nuts. But, after reading Desire's Edge, and especially Love's Storm, you must conclude that Amy is a rare breed of woman. She could lose her husband to her best friend. Their family business could be destroyed; their relationships tattered beyond repair. And when some of that happens, Amy is unwavering. She loves Bryce; she loves Raine. She's steadfast in this triad. She chooses polyamory with all its joys and heartaches.

Readers could wonder whether Amy lied to Bryce right from the start. She expressed feelings for Raine that were deeper than simple friendship. She was physically attracted to her. Did Amy know she wanted a more intimate relationship with Raine, and created that opportunity using her husband as bait? At one point, Bryce calls her out, accusing her of precisely this.

Her parents divorced when Amy was a teenager. She lived with her father, a die-hard traditionalist, a veteran, a devout Irish Catholic. Her mother left them behind after being stifled by those black and white rules. Amy's relationship with her mom is weak. Maybe she was too afraid to voice her desires for Raine because doing so would make her feel like the rebel her mother is. Her father and Bryce would disapprove. Then what? In addition, Bryce's mother has played a more pivotal role in Amy's life than her own mother has.

So, is she caught between the loving, steady, maternal figure Lisa Gage portrays, or does she want to embrace a suppressed part of herself that is more like her own mom? The more time she spends with Raine, the more she gives into her latent kink. Raine's dominant relationship with Bryce makes her weak with desire. The fetishes she explores at Lucien's dungeon shock and arouse her. She's eager for more experiences, and Bryce promises to take her back to play. The sexual freedom she's enjoying is recreating her own self-image.
We think she's scared to death of acknowledging her true self, but as the story progresses, Amy is drawn to that destiny like rain droplets on a window pane.

Knowing all this, Amy could be you or your neighbor. She's intelligent, complex, passionate, and beautifully fierce. She'd have to be to create a loving relationship among three people who had no idea polyamory was the end game. At Love's Storm conclusion, she's being set up for the shock of her life. Readers will feel the landslide of emotion heading Amy's way. She'll be forced to examine fully her motivations so far, and the consequences of her actions. Asking those questions and living with the answers is going to be one of the hardest things she's ever had to face.

RAZOR: Desire's Edge by Margie Church and K.B. Cutter

Amy has a core need to occasionally be sexually dominant with her husband, and he's not getting the message. Her solution is very unconventional. She want hers best friend, Raine, a lifestyle Domme, to mentor him.

Initially, Bryce thinks Amy's crazy.

Raine brings a new level of excitement and kink to the marriage. What they thought would be a temporary situation evolves into much more, especially when Amy and Bryce develop deeper feelings for Raine. Their newfound intimacy makes all three examine their views about love and sex outside marital boundaries, their sexual identities, and the definition of family.

Embracing an inevitable destiny, the triad lives on the razor's edge of a happiness many will never know.

Find out how the story continues in the gripping tale, Razor: Love's Storm.

With the second book just released, and both of these hot numbers available in print and ebook, Naughty Nights Press knew we had to bring these two incredibly talented writers on for a guest spot. We want everyone to get the chance to read these sizzling books! It'd be such a shame to miss out on this kind of titillation, Domination and wickedly exciting kink!

Whew! It's getting hot in here! So, while I go grab a tall cold one, I will leave you all with an interesting interview with the naughty lovers of the Razor Series!

Off to you Margie and K.B...

Our three lovers in the Razor series, Bryce, Amy, and Raine, join all the Naughty Nights friends for a sexy, funny interview.

Bryce looked at his phone: "I don't know about you guys, but I just got the text from Margie or KB. I think it must be from KB because auto correct is ridiculous."
Raine grabbed his phone:  "I didn't get the text because I blocked KB, so we know it's from him. Hmm…kinks, dinks? Amy, what do you think?"
Amy stared at her message. "Blocking KB might be a good idea since he can't text for shit. I think it means they're going to be late. They want us to talk about our relationship, and the kinks of how it works."
R:  I don't know; it's easy for me. Bryce does what I want…sometimes more than once. Amy is very playful and cooperative. And she gets off on that, too. Stop smirking, Amy. I got your number.
B: Yeah it is easy for you to say, Raine. I do all the heavy lifting.
R: Love to hear you bitch about it, too…especially when you're between my knees.
A: Woo…like that one. I'll volunteer to be next.
B: We can play after we get these answers figured out. Margie will write us right out of the third book if we don't.
A: What? Doesn't KB have pull with her?
R:  Depends on how sweetly he talks.
A: He has that bedroom voice…or so I heard. Stop looking at me that way, Bryce.
B: Let's stay on task. Okay?
A: You're no fun.
B: Learning to be a switch is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but it's most rewarding, fulfilling now.
R: I know playing "Mistress May I" used to turn you inside out, but you seem to enjoy it.
A: I think he enjoys screwing up so he can be punished for it, too.
R: Is that how it plays?
B: You're off topic, Amy. If I choose to screw up, that's my business, but I will say that I used to think becoming your submissive would emasculate me. Actually, once I got past my traditional mindset and roles, my life got a whole lot more interesting. Who wouldn't enjoy making love with two very interesting, sexy women? Together or alone, it's a mind-blowing experience. Stop giggling, Amy.
A: You said blowing. Okay, I'll stop being a blond. We have honest communication about what we want. I'd have to say, Bryce, that once you let go of those worries about being less than a man, things kind of fell into place. And, I don't think you've ever been hotter in the sack.
R: I want it on the record that I know Bryce still tries to play mind games with me that he's not going to win. But you did go way beyond my expectations at Lucien's Samhain party, Bryce.
B: You're goddamn right I did, but at least now I understand you a lot better. We're still not adding a playroom onto the house.
R: Killjoy. Seriously, do you really feel less than a man as a submissive, now?
B: It's not really fair that Amy doesn't have to live by the really strict rules that I do.
R: Girlfriend relationships trump all. You know I'm just joking, but Amy does sorta follow the rules. When she and I are alone we're more playful than anything. If we had to choose, we'd spend our lives with a man, not another woman, so that affects how Amy and I are together. Do agree, Amy?
A: We were best friends first, but I secretly always wanted you. The way we live now lets me enjoy all of you. I also love watching you with Bryce. When the three of us are together, I think it's the hottest thing I ever could imagine.
B: (Laughs) Amy, what am I gonna do with you?
A: To start with, you can unzip your jeans so you don't hurt yourself, because I noticed you have quite a bulge there, my love.
B: In any loving relationship you'd do that for me, so why don't you?
A: It'll be my pleasure.
R: So we're getting naked, is that it?
B: Amy can't talk with her mouth full. So, I guess that answers your question.
R: Neither can you, Bryce.
B: Well, Mistress, then please come closer.

* * * *

"KB, do you have their house key? The door is locked."
"No, but I probably have a tool in my car that'll help."
"Okay….I hope it's not a salami knife this time."
"Funny girl. I'm going to have to talk to Bryce about his door locks. That was way too easy."
"You busted the door. I'm not taking the heat for that."
"It's very quiet in here."
"Where is everyone? Bryce? Amy? Raine? Anyone home?"
"Do you hear what I hear? It ain't no Christmas carol."
"They didn't wait for us?"
"Are we joining them? …Ouch, woman, you don't need to break my rib."
"To my way of thinking, we have three choices" join them, play Parcheesi in the kitchen, or go get a cup of coffee."
"I've already had my caffeine limit. I hate Parcheesi…so…."
"I'm not hiding behind the curtains until they're done."
"I hope Bryce has his Cialis prescription filled."

Razor: Love's Storm by Margie Church and K.B. Cutter

Their delicious, naughty secret is out, and it's open season on Amy and Bryce's decision to add a third person to their marriage.

All the talking in the world can't convince critics that Amy and Bryce's marriage is rock-solid, and there are no secrets between them. Others meddle to undermine Bryce's business and marriage. Even Raine's Master thinks she's making a huge mistake.

With no allies, and scorn coming from every direction, love and determination must lead Amy, Bryce, and Raine through love's storm.

Their journey began in Razor: Desire's Edge, and continues after Razor: Love's Storm in the third and final book of the trilogy coming this fall, Razor: Love's Reflection.

Erotic Author Margie Church Interview on Naughty Nights Press!

Welcome Margie! It is great to have you at Naughty Nights Press.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do an interview with us!

To our followers & fans: Margie will be sharing some personal information about herself with us as well as information about two of her erotic books, Dangerous Love, the second book in her "Love Bites" Series which is already available *squeal* and her new release Love Revisited, the sequel to "WET", available on March 7th! *happy dance*

I know you are all just as excited as I am to read Margie's interview so I shall stop babbling and we can get to it!

1. Tell us a little about yourself.

Thanks for having me, Ladies! Hugs, Gina for having me! Love that shot on your banner. Yeow! I might need a copy for my private collection. *wink*

I am one of those crazy people who's either writing or thinking about writing. I work as a copywriter and editor during the day and write books, fan fiction, and magazine feature articles the rest of the time. I've been a professional writer years and years and I've been writing fiction for four years. I have five romances and a nursery rhyme (surprise!) on the market. I'm married and have two sons. We live in the Midwest where there's tons of snow and I can't imagine living somewhere else right now. I enjoy a good laugh. If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter or any of the reader's loops, you'll figure out I'm an instigator of many naughty chuckles.

2. When did you realize you wanted to be an author?

I wrote in a fan fiction challenge and took second place. I'd never written anything longer than five or six pages and never fiction. All my work was for commercial publications and advertising. I was extremely intimidated by the 30,000 word challenge but, afterward, I'd cranked out half of an amazing romantic suspense. The Forbidden Love readers *waves to all those amazing EJAMI fans* really loved the story. I thought, "Shoot, maybe I can do something with this." I did. It turned into my debut novel, Awakening Allaire and then a sequel, Avenging Allaire. (Yes, that's the smoking hot Jimmy Thomas on the cover with a gun in his hand.)

3. What is your most & least favorite part of writing?

I'm not crazy about research. It's time-consuming work that's absolutely necessary, but I can spend hours looking for information to validate a sentence or two. I also struggle with finding subject matter experts. Any doctors out there who want to be in my short list of SMEs, raise your hand!

My favorite part of writing is coming up with the plot. I see the story in my head long before I write it. I envision the characters, and hear them speak, and get a strong sense of who they are before I ever write a word. I'm a plotter, not a pantser, so I write down the story arch and I get so excited as I see things unfolding. I can't wait to dive in…as soon as the research is done. Drats.

4. Do you have a ritual to get you ready to write? Something special you do to psyche you up?

I usually go back a couple pages to get my head back in the story. With kids around, I can't hope for quiet, so it's necessary to tune out the world and tune into the characters. Love scenes are a bit different. I tend to think about those quite awhile before I write them. Sometimes I'll be typing with my eyes closed (and hopefully fingers on the right keys) to really get things down.

5. After writing for hours at a time how do you relax?

I was once told by a physical therapist I don't know how to relax and probably never have. (Can you believe I was rushing through a relaxation technique? Yeah…that's me.) But, when I do get away from work, I love music, especially classical music. I go to the opera several times a year and I love concerts. I adore walks at night. The night is peaceful and I prefer the distraction of the moon and the stars to the busy-ness of the day anyway. I also enjoy a good beer with my girlfriends.

6. Where do you write?

I have an office at home.

7. Does your environment have an impact on what or how you write?

Nope. I am very disciplined about writing – usually about 1,000 words a day and I always write in the same place. I have to say that I need more quiet when I'm editing. Getting rid of pesky passive voice and all those other technical requirements take some clever thought. Quiet helps, but it's not always available.

8. What is your opinion of writer's groups? Do you find them helpful? And how did you find yours if you have one?

I belong to a few online and they are helpful. Writing is a solitary business most of the time and there's so much to learn. I asked fellow authors for recommendations about these kinds of groups and lurked in a few until I found a few that suited me. I have beta readers that I choose depending on the book. All these things help me put out a better story!

9. What are some of your pet peeves in life?

I hate stupid questions. I'm blond so I get a free pass some days, but honestly, I hate answering questions that peeps with a little more gumption could figure out themselves. I think elbow grease isn't just for elbows, you know?

10. What is your advice to aspiring writers?

Put your ego in the drawer and put on your big girl panties. There are opportunities to learn and grow at every corner in this business, but it often comes in the form of rejection and difficult conversations with your editors. Suck it up and decide if you want to write the very best books you can or whether you want to insist on doing it your way. Both work, but you'll have different results most times. I also made friends with Sesame Street. When I can't take any more conversations about what I need to do to be a better writer and market myself better, The Count never fails to make me smile. (No wonder I write vampire books, too, right?)

11. What can you tell us about your newest book (e-book) just released or coming out?

The second book in my Love Bites series is Dangerous Love. It was released at Thanksgiving. If you enjoy an erotic vampire story that isn't sparkly or have females begging to be turned into creatures of the night, then these two books should interest you. The stories scamper around the globe and have amazing plots and subplots. There's also not only a fantastic, steamy romance between Wade and Jui, but there's also dark bondage and some gay romance. The reviews have been fantastic and I invite you to check them out at Noble Romance and at Amazon or your favorite eBook retailer. They'll also be coming out in print.

12. Is there anything else you would like to add that we might have missed here today?

The sequel to my contemporary erotic romance, WET, is coming out March 7, from Noble Romance. Look for it if you enjoy hot hetero romances!

I always enjoy meeting new people so I hope you'll check out my books and find me on Facebook and Twitter. I'm usually around and look forward to saying, hey!
