Hi Elianne, thanks so much for joining me on the NNP blog! I will try not to take up too much of your time, but lets tell our readers a bit about you, okay? *smiles*

Thank you so much for having me today, Gina. It’s always a pleasure.

How long have you been a writer and how did you get into writing?
I’ve been writing for about four years now. Wow, time really has flown. I’ve only been published for a bit over a year though. The rest of the time was spent learning how to get those words onto the pages and making them pretty for all the readers.

Are you a full time author?
I wish. No, at this point, I’m still holding on to a full time job as a nurse. I’ll be honest and say that my dream is to write full time, and with the way things are going, I’m really hoping that this will be my reality sooner rather than later.

What do you do when you don’t write?
Work and family, mainly. I’m an avid reader. I always have a book or ten started. I read what I love, which is paranormal romance, but I also read other genres, some true stories, some urban fantasy, I read it all… except horror. I’m too much of a chicken to read horror. And don’t even ask me to watch a movie about demonic possession. *shudder*

What is the title of your inclusion in Beyond the Veil? How did you come up with the idea for your book?

My Story is called Bump in the Night. The idea itself came from one of my chatting sessions with one of my BFF authors, Sadie Haller. We were goofing around one night and decided that since we were only moderately insane with deadlines and commitments for the next few months that it would be fun to put together a boxed set of stories that all revolved in some way or form around Halloween. The one criteria for inclusion in the set was that it had to have at least ONE Halloween element, so black cat, witch, ghost… you get the idea. Now, being the person that I am, I decided to throw in a few others. Bump in the Night actually has a ghost, a witch, a demon, a werewolf, and angel, and of course, goblins. You can’t have Halloween without goblins.

How did you conduct your research for Bump in the Night?
There wasn’t a whole lot of research to be done for this one since it’s mostly a make believe world, but I did look up some pictures on Pinterest to get inspiration and get a better visual idea of the creatures I was writing about. What are the best and the worst aspects of writing for you?
The best part of writing has to be the story telling. I mean, I get to make stuff up and then tear it all down again. Add in the fact that there are sexy as sin heroes added to the mix, and I’m a happy author. The worst part is for me is trying to get all the things that need to get done... done. Writing is fun, and most of the other aspects are too, but many hours must be spent at the computer to make all that magic happen, and sometimes, that’s a challenge.

What inspires you to write?
There are so many things that inspire me to write. Sometimes it’s something as simple as watching a couple interact in real life. Whether they’re laughing, crying, or scowling, there’s always a story behind it, and my imagination takes flight. Other than that, goofing around with my author friends in chat usually sparks some unusual ideas. Most of them don’t make it to the page, but it’s great fun and gets the creative juices flowing.

Is there a particular author who inspires you?
I have to pick one?? Geez, okay, that’s tough. At the risk of sounding like a “brown noser”—do people actually use that term anymore?—I’m going to say our very own interviewer, Gina Kincade. Before people start rolling their eyes at me, I’ll tell you guys why I chose Gina. For one, she’s an amazing author. I know you’ve all read her books and know exactly what I’m talking about, so there’s no denying it. For another, she’s just one of the most down to earth, genuine, caring people I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with. She is a hard working woman, who will do just about anything to help another author out. Seriously, there needs to be more people like Gina on this planet. In a world where people are self-absorbed and will crush people on their way to the top, Gina reaches down and helps the person behind her to climb higher. I have much respect for this woman. This is the kind of author I strive to be, and the kind of person I hope that I am in my everyday life.

*blushes* Oh my goodness, Elianne. I...wow...I don't even know what to say.

You're pretty amazing yourself, lady! *smiles and fans face* Whew! Believe me, hun, I am not 'all that' in my opinion, but I do really appreciate you saying so. Okay, enough of that.

What would your friends say is your best quality?
Ugh, I hate talking about myself. Can’t I just keep talking about how fabulous Gina is?

Haha, no. *grins*
No? Okay, well, I think my friends would consider me a hard worker, and someone who is very determined. I hold a full time job, a part time job (very part time, and only for a few months out of the year—but it’s a passion of mine to teach, so I refuse to give it up even though I’m really too busy to keep doing it. I’m also a mother of three, and a wife… and I write. Pretty much any time I’m not working or doing things for my family, I’m at my computer writing. So yeah, I think they’d consider me a driven, hardworking kind of person.

Are reader reviews important to you?
Reader reviews are important. They really are. The more reviews you have, the better. Even though I’ve never met a single one of them, I absolutely adore my review team. Good or bad, the words of the readers carry a lot of weight with the people who are out there browsing the virtual book aisles. So thank you to all of you who are out there and take the time to put your thoughts together and post them to the vendor sites and to Goodreads. You make a difference!

Tell us about your other books?
I currently have two series out. The Return to Avalore series, which is set in a magical place called Avalore. The series starts with a woman who is running for her life from creatures that most humans have no clue even exist. I’ll admit that my stories are a bit grittier than some romances out there, but the romance (and sexy times) are all there for the readers to enjoy. The people of Avalore consist of three major shifter species, dragon, gryphon, and phoenixes. If you like your males to be Alpha… this set is for you.
My other series is the Dragon Blood series. This one features nothing but dragon shifters. And yes, the men are super sexy and powerful, but then, so are the women. This series is a novella series, so they are meant to be read and enjoyed more quickly. Book four in this series is coming out soon, so if you want to catch up on the series before it does, then now’s the time.

If you could share one thing about yourself you would like our readers to know, what would it be?
It would be that I love connecting with readers. I really do. I love getting messages on Facebook, getting e-mails, a message on Twitter… anything. I try really hard to reply to each and every one of them. If I don’t, it’s not intentionally, so message again! I’ll get them and respond.

When a soft rap came at her driver’s side window, Libbie jumped and cried out. Rain poured down her window, making it impossible to see anything but a large dark shadow. She took a steadying breath before lowering the window a couple of inches.
The first thing she saw was a huge expanse of chest covered by a navy blue T-shirt that hugged every muscle. The same T-shirt she’d seen in her own kitchen earlier that morning.
“What are you doing here?”
“I’d apologize, but it would be a lie. I’m not sorry for coming.” Jay took a step back, holding his umbrella over her door so she could get out.
“You’re getting all wet,” she chided, but if she were being honest, the small act of chivalry made her heart sing just a little. His body heat wrapped around her, and she wanted to close the small distance between them. He licked his lips, then swallowed, his gaze dipping down to her mouth. A shiver rushed over her, and she took a small step closer before realizing what she was about to do.
“It’s okay. I tend to be warmer than most. I’ll dry quickly.” His nostrils flared, and his eyes flashed a shade lighter.
Libbie gasped. The shifting eye color, his heat, it made sense. “You’re a wolf, aren’t you?” Most werewolves had some magical abilities. It wasn’t quite the same as being a witch, but with the proper education, they could make most spells work for them.
He grinned at her, cocking his head to the side a little. “What gave me away?”
“Your eyes, mostly. The color lightens sometimes. I haven’t seen a werewolf in decades.” She leaned in closer, watching for his reaction.
“That happens when the wolf sees something it wants and I don’t let it have it.”
“What does it want right now?” Her heart raced, and her gaze darted to his lips again. She had a feeling she knew what the answer was, but she wanted to hear him say it.
He stepped forward, crowding her, and bent his head to her ear. “He wants me to rip all your clothes off and take you right here against your car,” he whispered before licking the tender skin of her ear.
Her nipples tightened, and her pussy clenched at his words. “Oh.” 
“I won’t do it, not here, but I want to.” He took a deep breath and stepped back. “For now, we’d better go check on our friend.”

Hi K.C, thanks so much for joining me on the NNP blog! I will try not to take up too much of your time, but let's tell our readers a bit about you, okay? *smiles*

*Bounces around all nervous and such* Hi Gina. Wow. This is fun, right? I mean, I’ve done some interviews before but they were all get right to the point, in and out kind of things. This is also my first major boxed set. So all new fun things! I’m really excited to be part of it all.

Are you a full time author?

Sadly, no. I know that’s the dream for many but it’s very hard to reach and is in no way permanent. I highly doubt I will ever be secure enough to fully quit my other jobs and rely on writing. The market changes too rapidly for that. 

How long have you been a writer and how did you get into writing?

I’m one of those weird people who got started writing in role play. Some call it fanfiction but it was slightly different than that. My group was based on facebook and we had profiles of the characters and wrote and interacted with people in the everyday life. We would get together and write fanfic scenes as well but the majority of what we did was interaction in groups and wall posts. I was into that for about two years and by the end of it I had started writing my own characters. One day I looked at all my scenes and realized I had a story arc going and with some fleshing out it could be a book. My first book published in 2014. 

What inspires you to write?

What doesn’t? Inspiration hits at all times and from the most random of things. I once wrote an entire detailed outline in 10 minutes between appointments at work for a novel that had nothing to do with anything I was currently working on. My previous appointment had said something that just clicked with me. I still have the scribbly pages with margin notes and arrows galore waiting for the day I put it into action. 

Is there a particular author who inspires you?

Not really. I have favorite authors, of course, but I can’t say one inspires me more than another. 

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
I’d say the best is the feel of accomplishment I get when I finish writing a book. That completion of the first draft is tough. I am on a rollercoaster of “this is the most amazing thing I’ve ever written,” and, “This is a piece of shit that needs to be drowned in 100 gallons of gasoline and struck with a match.” But once I hit that last period of the last sentence there is this calm that just settles over me like a blanket. I sit back in my chair and let my head drop back again the wall (I like to write in bed) and smile. It’s a dazed euphoria for about ten minutes before the dreaded editing phase begins to nag at me. 
For me, the worst aspect of writing is marketing. Just thinking about it makes me want to smash my laptop against a brick wall. I do it, as we all do, but I would rather be writing. 

What is the title of your inclusion in Beyond the Veil? How did you come up with the idea for it?
My book is Too Far Gone and it is the first book in the Adirondack Pack series. The inspiration for Too Far Gone came to me as a plot bunny late at night. I was trying and failing at falling asleep. Every time I closed my eyes I saw this wolf and his yellow eyes just kept staring at me. I couldn’t escape him. For hours I saw this damn thing and finally I was like, “Ok. Alright. You win. Tell me your story.” He did. I scribbled notes down in the notebook I keep by my bed (for this reason) and when I woke up I felt lighter and excited to start this new book. 

How did you conduct your research for Too Far Gone?
As a librarian-in-training, I scoff at the thought of research. Getting lost in the rabbit hole of databases and Boolean phrases is just another Thursday night to me. I based the pack of wolves in the Adirondack Mountains of New York where I had visited on a vacation years ago. I loved the area and found a town of about the right size to model Andora after. I also did a lot of research on lone wolves and how packs function. I tend to research as I write. I’ll stop mid-sentence and run off to search a particular tree native to the area for an hour before coming back and finishing off the line. 

Would you give our readers your two favorite lines/quotes from your book?
This is one of my favorite quotes. It’s a bit long but only because of the formatting. This is Tyson’s stream of thought when he is in the throes of losing control.

He was here.
Jack was here.
Inside her house.
Sadie was inside her house.
Must protect.
Door is closed.
No hands.
Protect.
She keeps the back door open.
Wait.
He’s outside now.
I can smell him.
I can taste his scent on hers.
There.
On the porch.
The fucker is going to die if he touched her.
Tear him open for what he did to Jenny.
Kill him.
Make him suffer like I have suffered.
I’m lost without her.
Gone feral.
Finally feral.
He looks wrong.
Smaller.

What would your friends say is your best quality?
I cheated and asked. 
“I find you quirky and sincere. Passionate and nerdy.”

Are reader reviews important to you?
Yes and no. I love to hear what they have to say but I learned fast in my first year of being published to keep a thick skin and take reviews with a grain of salt. Not everyone is going to like your plot or writing style but those who do are loyal and wonderful and make it all worth it. 

What do you do when you don’t write?
Well, I am a photographer at a portrait studio where we specialize in senior portraits, business publicity, sports and wedding photography. I’ve been there for about 8 years. I am also in my third year of college (round two, first time was for a photography degree) for library science. I am in the Bachelor’s program now and have about a year and half left before I get that degree and can move into the Master’s program. I also work at the circulation desk of my local library. 

But for fun I have a very energetic and spoiled german shepherd who likes to keep me on my toes. Recently he learned how to open the refrigerator and ate a pan of manicotti, and he also DVR’d Star Trek. I also read, a lot. It’s kind of a requirement of being a writer; you also have to be a reader. 

Tell us about your other books?
My first series is a dragon shifter romance. It starts off with a woman who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and ends up getting the disembodied soul of a dragon in her head. The book is all about trying to get him out of her head. There are three novels and two novellas in the series. The Adirondack Pack series currently has three novels (the third is releasing in June!) and three novellas. This is an on-going series and I have plans for at least two more novels. I am just about to start a new contemporary band series this summer and have plans for a time-travel romance and a standalone contemporary romance. 

If you could share one thing about yourself you would like our readers to know, what would it be?
Uh, I don’t know. I think I shared a few things above that are good to know about me. I guess I’ll add that I am a nerd and love to talk to other nerds. In fact I am Head Nerd of my group of friends and even have a Nerd Card, which I carry with me in my wallet.

Too Far Gone

The silence of the forest was almost worse than the sounds of fighting. It was so insanely loud with absolute nothingness. Emptiness sounded a lot like the last second before a roller coaster dropped over the first hill. For one brief second there was absolutely nothing. No thought. No breath. No sound beyond the beating of your own heart in your ears. But even that stops just before the decent begins. Right before you are pulled over, there is a complete sense of weightless nothingness. Too soon, you are half laughing half screaming with a smile so big bugs are getting caught in your teeth.  
Was this the beginning of her decent?  
In her musings, Sadie had missed the footsteps. Light and airy they floated over the few dried leaves and soft grass to stand beside her. The wolf's presence soothed and excited her in her twisted mental state. While his tongue licked at her fingers and cold nose nudged at her arm, she became irritated. 
"Didn't your mother ever tell you to not play with your food?" she grumbled. Between her arm and the piece of moss she was laying on, Sadie looked at the wolf. It was the one from before, the one with the yellow eyes. She sighed momentarily with relief then remembered she was dinner before they were so rudely interrupted. He nudged her arm again and that's when she looked at him, really looked. The wolf was no longer salivating and kind of looked wholesome now that his nose wasn't scrunched up towards his eyes showing off his chompers. He sat his butt down in front of her and rested his head on his paws. Their noses were mere inches from each other. Behind him, she caught the tip of his tail wagging slowly from side to side.  
"Hi." 
He raised his head and looked dignified and slightly abashed. 
"So I take it I'm off the menu tonight?" 
His mouth opened and his tongue flopped to the side as he panted.  
"That's not a very good confirmation." She pushed up to her hands and knees and sat back on her feet. The wolf sat up as she did. They were the same height now and looking right in each other's eyes. At this height he didn't look like anything more than an oversized dog. His ears stood up straight with pointy little tips that looked like they were dipped in black paint. The line of dark fur on his face did, in fact, run the length of him. Sadie thought he looked a little like a skunk in reverse.  
"If you're not going to eat me can I go home?"  
He stayed put. She took that as a yes and began to rise. Slowly, because he was a still a wolf and she didn't want to spook him and end up losing a hand, Sadie rose to her feet and brushed off the bits of forest that clung to her shorts and t-shirt.  
Once more, the wolf followed her lead and got to his feet. Without thinking, or a second glance, she turned on her heel and began to walk back to her house. This was the very last time she wondered this far from her place. If it was not within eye shot, she was too far away.  
Lesson learned. 
Shame on her. 
Bad Sadie.  
She stopped.  
The soft padding of footsteps behind her stopped too.  
"You've got to be kidding me," she said looking upward to the heavens. "Seriously?" She didn't want to but glanced behind her anyway. Sure enough, the wolf stood a few paces behind her with a look of, "why'd we stop?" Groaning, she turned back around and continued to walk. She told herself that he was just being a gentleman and walking her home. Then she remembered he was a wolf and was probably just finding out where she lived so he could visit at some point for a midnight snack.

Hi Rebekah, thanks so much for joining me on the NNP blog! I know you are one busy lady so I will try to be brief...I do get long winded from time to time. I'm sure you've heard that before, though. *grins*

How long have you been a writer and how did you get into writing?

I started writing in High School and then gave it up in college where I was on scholarship for Theater. I didn't pick it back up again until about 5 years ago.

Are you a full time author or do you have a day job as well?

I am a full time mom of 4 kids I homeschool. A daughter who is a competitive dancer. A son and dauhter who are actors in Hollywood and another who is a fencer. So, I write in between all that.

You write in between all that? Holy crap, when is there time! Geesh!

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?

Best aspects are when you go back through your work and you're like, Holy Crap! I wrote that! That's freaking awesome! The worst is having to edit until your eyes bleed and your brain pours out your ears.

What inspires you to write?

Everything. My fans. My kids. My husband. Sexy guys. Kick ass girls.

Mmmm, sexy guys...yes. *sigh*

Is there a particular author who inspires you?

Lara Adrian was the first vampire book I ever read and she inspired me to want to write again.

What is the title of your inclusion in Beyond the Veil and how did you come up with  the idea for it?

Red the Were Hunter. I've always loved Fairytales but I wanted to write them with paranormal elements. And I've always loved the idea of all the fairytale characters living in one world and being inter connected.

How did you conduct your research for Red the Were Hunter?

I studied the original fairytales and then tried to figure out the best places to put paranormal creatures in there. I did a lot of research on mediviel times, even though it's set in a fantasy world where there is no set time period.

Can you give our readers your two favorite lines or quotes from Red the Were Hunter?

Uhm… I love Redlynn in general and I love how she doesn't take crap from people.

"Then I guess you better start training the men to protect their daughters," Redlynn bit out.

"Surely you jest? It's been the Sisterhood. Always the Sisterhood. For as long as there have been Weres, there have been Sisters. They go hand in hand, they—" Lillith stopped short.

Redlynn studied Lillith's face, and Lillith glanced away again. That nagging feeling that Lillith was keeping something from the Sisterhood stirred within Redlynn once more.

Pulling herself to her full height, Lillith tilted her chin up and glared at Redlynn. "If you leave now, you'll be cast out."

Cosplay. Go to Comic Cons and speak. Teach writing classes, aside from the other stuff with my kids

Oh man! So I have the Fairelle Series which consists of Red the Were Hunter, Snow the Vampire Slayer, Jamen's Yuletide Bride, Zelle and the Tower and now Cinder the Fae. They are my fairytale retelling series. 2 more books will be releasing in that series before the end of the year. I have my series, The Society, which is Vampires Rule the World. The last one in that comes out in May. I have the Shifter Rising Series which is werewolves in trouble, it's NA and the first book releases next month. I have Dead Awakenings, which is a non gross zombie romance with super hot, super poered zombies, or deaders as I call them. And I have my Otherworlder series. Which is a Fae with no magic who is a PI for Otherworlders here in Los Angeles.

If you could share one thing about yourself you would like our readers to know, what would it be?

Uhm… I was once almost eaten by alligators. Yup, true story. It's why I'm deathly afraid of being eaten alive.

"Yes. There's a grove not far from here. When you're well I'll take you there. You can lie in the tall grass and see all of the stars above. We'll go there and I'll show you the patterns I make with them. There's a dragon and a warrior. Mage towers and a giant cow." He looked over at her and his chest clenched. She looked worse. Her cheeks were as red as strawberries and her eyes as glassy as a pool of water."

"And I'll show you the giant castle where I used to dream I'd live. And the giant bird that used to carry me there." She stared up into the trees. "There's nothing more lovely than the stars."

"There's one thing."

Her gaze turned upon him. Her eyelids closed and then opened again slowly. Pain marred her features.

"I ache for you," she said, her voice husky and low.

"I ache for you, too," he whispered. Gods in the heavens, he ached for her like never before.

"Then why, Adrian? Why will you not make love to me?"

"Because I am trying to be a gentleman." He tried to concentrate on anything but the desires rushing through him. Her body called to him like a siren's song. And her words only made it worse.

"I don't want a gentleman. I want you." She laid her hand on his arm.

Her slender fingers felt like candle flames licking his skin. Leaning near her, he picked up her hand, kissed it, and then each delicate fingernail. Turning her hand over, he kissed her palm, and up her wrist. The silence of the forest was like a cocoon. Her scent drifted on the breeze, invading him.

"Adrian. Ever since I first laid eyes on you, I have been drawn to you. But these past two nights, it has become a pain that I cannot understand."

He trailed light kisses up her arm. He didn't want to think, just feel.

"The pain, the need inside of me, it's excruciating. Like I'm going to explode if I don't have you. Please, Adrian, make it stop."

Her words flooded into him. The breathy way she called his name was all it took. There was no stopping him now. If she were going to die, he'd have her die knowing that he cared. Tomorrow, he knew he'd regret it if he didn't. A tear dripped from his eye, and he kissed the crook of her elbow. Lifting her arm, she twined her fingers through his hair. They locked eyes.

The walls around his heart crumbled to pieces. Looking into her eyes, he saw it. Redlynn should have been his mate, and he'd give her whatever she asked.

He kissed up her arm to her collarbone. Peppering her, he kissed from her neck to her earlobe, down her jaw to her blistering lips. Tasting her hot breath, Adrian rolled on top of her. A groan escaped him, followed by a soft mewl from her. His arousal grew and pressed between them.

He kissed down the other side of her throat, moving her gold locket out of the way. She moaned his name when he reached the peaks of her breasts. Her hands grabbed his shoulders and her nails dug into his back, causing a rumble to escape his chest. His hand ran roughly over her thin gown, down her side, to her protruding hipbones. Digging his fingers in, he pulled her near and lifted her leg, wrapping it around his waist. He needed her.
