Her eyes widened and her lips parted and he caught a glimpse
of fang. “I…didn’t know you cared.”
“If I didn’t, why would I have convinced Roark to turn you?”
He tugged her closer, the push of her breasts against his chest making it hard
to concentrate on mere words. He’d known she was meant for him from the first
second he’d seen her but he had to let Roark take her or risk her dying.
“You don’t know me. I was just a girl on the street. A human
not worth your consideration.”
Fenris didn’t miss the hurt in her eyes. Perhaps he had been
wrong leaving her alone. He’d been convinced he was right letting her
assimilate unhindered into her new life. He also couldn’t fault her reasoning.
She was right. They had no claim on one another, only an attraction that blazed
to life in the most untenable of situations.
But she was wrong on one account. He had noticed her
before-just not in a way he might have acted upon. Human and supernatural

"Hey, boss," Trevor says, coming up behind him.
Kane jumps, his heart in his throat, and looks at Trevor
with his raised eyebrow. Please don't ask questions. Please.
Trevor shrugs and continues before Kane can even think to
say anything. "I know you said take the night off, but I’d rather work if
that is cool. Aria would rather hang here than at the house by herself. Everyone
is sleeping. That was cool of you, by the way. We all appreciate it."
With a nod, Kane clasps Trevor's shoulder. "Thank you.
You are very welcome. Feel free to close early if you want."
Walking away, heart heavy that he missed his chance with the
woman, he smiles as he hears Trevor chatting up the girls at the end of the
bar.
"So that is why he wanted to work."
Kane smirks and walks in to the hall, heading to his office.
Abruptly, he is yanked in to an empty storage closet. Besides a couple old
boxes sitting in the corner, nothing is ever kept in here.
Snarling, he cuts off abruptly when he realizes who is
standing there in the dark, leaning against the wall.
"About time you showed up. I was about to get myself
off and leave."
Stepping up closer, he stops and takes in a deep breath. She
wants him. Just as much as he wants her. "I was always taught to never
leave a lady waiting." Bringing his wolf's vision forward, he sees her
smile. A smile that lights up everything around her. Glancing down, he notices
she already opened her jacket to reveal her boobs, took off her pants, yet left
her hood on. Not able to focus on the last part too long with a naked woman in
front of him, he growls, "Maybe I should apologize."
Without waiting for a reply, he steps forward, dominating
her mouth with his. He breathes in her scent, and she does the same to him. She
groans, the sound vibrating through him, going straight to his dick.
Not wasting any time, she kneels and pulls him out of his
pants, his dick hard and thick in her warm hand. She gazes up at him, her mouth
open, waiting. Then with a quirk to her lips, she puts all of him in to her
mouth, so teasing, no playing, nothing.

Welcome to our Spotlight! How long have you been a writer and how did you come to
writing?
I have been a writer for a long time. I remember writing my
first story in high school, not including little things over the years, but an
actual story. Unfortunately, the computer crashed and I lost that story, but it
was definitely the start on this path. I came to writing after reading so many
books and always having different stories running through my head. I remember
in grade 11, school just started after summer break and the teacher asked, “Who
read this summer?” After seeing a couple hands he asked “Who read over 5 books
this summer?” most hands went down. After changing the number he finally asked
how many books did I read that summer and I said 102. He was so happy and congratulated
me and informed the class the joys of reading. At the time I didn’t care, those
who knew me knew how much I read, worked, and still had fun, so I didn’t care.
But it definitely shaped my writing today. I don’t think I will ever forget
that moment.
How did you come up with this storyline?
Honestly, I have issues with sleeping. I am that person who
stays in that half awake half asleep stage for a while. One time that is what
happened and I over saw this entire story one day before waking up. As soon as
I woke up I ran to my desk to get the things I could remember down so I could
make it into the story I envisioned.
What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
The best is by far telling the stories you are so excited
for and seeing the way they grow and change. The worst word be my ability to
believe in my writing. I have times while writing where I just think, wow this
stuff is shit. But, I push through and always get to the end and realize as an
author you are biased against your own work.
What inspires you to write?
I am inspired to write by all the things I see everyday. I
understand everyone has something they may not want to deal with in their life
or maybe they just want to live in a little fantasy life. If I can do that, for
even a short time, my goal is complete.
What are 3 of your favorite quotes from **Alpha's Surprise**?
-Her musical laughs echo around the empty room. "Don't
worry. You definitely didn't hurt me," she says, still smiling. Leaning
forward, she gives him a kiss.
-"Hey, boss," Anthony says, eyebrows raised.
"Everything alright?"
Running a ruff hand across his stubble, he says, "Yeah.
Why wouldn't it be alright?"
"Um, dude … you have to actually crack an egg in to the
frying pan and turn it on for it to cook."
- Kane, expecting his wolf to growl, hears nothing. Just
sees him preening around like a peacock. Kane huffs, causing another chuckle to
escape Shawn's lips.
What would your friends say is your best quality?
I would say either my willingness to help others or the
ability to work so hard. If I can help someone, even if it means ten times more
work, I will try as hard as I can to help them out.
Are reader reviews important to you? Why?
Yes they are. I like to know what my readers think. I know I
can’t please everyone, but if they have any constructive criticism to help me
out, awesome. If they want to let me know how much they loved the series or if
they want to know more about Dez, these are all things I want to know so I can
plan accordingly when possible.
What do you do when you don’t write? Like in “Real Life”
I proofread and edit books and create covers and graphics.
But before all that I was a private investigator and Security guard while also
being a dog groomer. A pretty random mix. lol
Tell us about your other books?
Since I haven’t even been an author for a year, I don’t have
many books out yet. I have a short story, Christmas Cinderella, in the Holiday
Heartwarmers Anthology. It is a modern retelling of Cinderella which I plan to
make into a full length novel. I also have Saved by Him, in the Billionaire
Ever After Boxed set. It is about a woman finding strength after losing a lot
and taking a chance on a man who isn’t who she thought he was. Then my other
book is Chance Encounter, in the Falling for the Billionaire Boxed set. It is
about a woman learning to trust and grow, while he learns to forgive, in hopes
of a future that they both can live in.
