Thank you from The Crypt

Freed from The Crypt, once again, I am back to bring you more insights from the mind of Morbius.

Only I can't be bothered.

Okay so I could continue my quest to gain acceptance in today's society for transsexuals, but I'm not going to. I could also bore you with details regarding the operation I had at the beginning of the month, an operation which, hopefully, keeps me mobile for a few more years, but I won't.
And I won't because this month only one thing matters to the family which is Naughty Nights Press.

On the 31st of August, Shane Willis, owner and photographic visionary of RadAct Photo, and book cover artist for Naughty Nights Press (NNP), passed away at the young age of forty-three.

Shane was a huge inspiration so many of people.

Gina Kincade, CEO of Naughty Nights Press, its authors and friends have put together a Silent Auction of eBooks and Print books.

This auction is to raise money for Shane's family in honor of the great friend, co-worker, and big-hearted man that he was.

We will miss you, Master Shane Willis!

Direct donations are also welcome and can be made through the

Thanks to the following people for their amazing support.

So for this month I am imploring everyone to take a minute out of your day, visit the silent auction and, either, bid on one of the fantastic sets up for auction or donate directly, all in the name of an exceptionally worth cause.

Thank you

Writer's Block

Elizabeth Black writes erotica, erotic romance, fantasy, dark fiction, and horror. She lives on the Massachusetts coast with her husband, son, and four cats. Check out her NNP novel "Don't Call Me Baby", a contemporary New Adult story set in the go-go 1980s. Details below.

-----

I've been wracking my brain for the past week trying to think of something to write about. Everything that crossed my mind I'd either written about before, or the topic bored me to tears. I've had that problem with a WIP I've been working on recently. It dragged, and I had a scorching case of writer's block, which I rarely get. So what caused it?

I realized I didn't like my story. So I flung it to the scrap heap (a. k. a. slush hell), and started over with another story. Now, I'm well on my way to finishing it.

I don't really believe in writer's block. There's usually a very good reason why I can't write something on the rare occasion that happens. Here are some things I do to squelch a bad case of ennui when it happens:

1. Walk on the beach. The clean ocean air clears my head.
2. Read something similar to what I want to write. Or better yet, read something in an entirely different genre.
3. Get out of the apartment. Half the time it isn't writer's block. It's cabin fever.
4. Watch a movie, preferably something scary with lots of tension and twists and turns.
5. Hang out with my husband. Getting outside my head helps to clear it.
6. Listen to some good music.
7. Bake.
8. Play in my garden.

I sometimes just need to reboot my brain when I can't seem to get anything down on paper. Sometimes I just don't feel like writing, and I don't fight it. For me, the mistake is fighting it. I let it slide since I always get back to it later. I welcome writer's block (or whatever I want to call it) because it usually means I need to get away from the computer for awhile.

In the meantime, check out my NNP novel "Don't Call Me Baby". Here's the dirt:

TOP PICK - NIGHT OWL REVIEWS
Hitherandthee at Night Owl Reviews:

Don’t Call Me Baby is a fast paced, very adventurous romantic novel that will take readers on a roller coaster ride of scorching romantic fun. The main character, Catherine, is a woman after my own heart. She is young and fiercely independent, and beyond gorgeous. She is not wealthy, but she wants to live the good life and is not afraid to go get it. She is also very sexually liberated, and in the 1980’s this was sometimes a good thing, and sometimes a not so good thing. The story is so blisteringly hot and steamy; it’s difficult to put down. It took me back to a better time, and a time I enjoyed much more. It is a novel I truly enjoyed reading, and will definitely be reading time and time again. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s also not to be missed.

So many men, so little time. Catherine has a long list of men that she sees on a regular basis, and at the top of the list (for the moment, anyway) is Brian. He’s one of her professors at Quincy, and a married man, but that’s never been a problem. But he’s so demanding! So maybe some time apart will be just the trick. A summer theater camp at another local college for local teens should make him realize that Catherine is not his possession, right? That is, until she gets to the camp and meets the other counselors. Ryan is gorgeous, and the rest? Well, what’s a girl on her own to do? Why, enjoy as many as she can! In the meantime, Catherine will come to grips with her mind and her heart, and will figure out what she really wants in life.

Resources

Hello, my lovelies!

Unfortunately, this week there won't be an episode of "For Writers, By Writers." I blame college.

Seriously. These classes are kicking my ass.

However, not wanting to leave you high and dry, I thought I would point you in the direction of my ultimate, favorite writing resource: Randy Ingermanson.

Now, for those of you who don't know Mr. Ingermanson, he's amazing. He's a Christian sci-fi author and he makes it work. He's best-selling, and award winning. But more than that, he's a Pacific Northwesterner, so that makes him totally awesome.

'Kay, just kidding.

(Not really.)

What makes him amazing is that he's down to earth, talks to his readers like they're intelligent, and has the most amazing advice. I would have to say that most of what I've learned about the publishing world I learned from him. And my attitude about writing is something I learned from him, as well: keep trying, keep improving, rejections are a part of life, respect yourself.

Seems easy, but you'd be amazed how many writers out there don't know this.

So anyway, go check him out. His website will totally suck you in, but it's worth it. And if you're not already signed up for his e-zine, it is well worth your time. I've been subscribing for years, and I still brighten up when I see his newsletter in my inbox because I know I'll learn something new.

So just...go. Check him out. Subscribe to his monthly newsletter, Advanced Fiction Writing.

Go forth, my lovelies!

A Personal Line of Defence

We're all born with it and sometimes use it as our last line of defence. What am I talking about? A smile. There has been a huge unhappiness in the NNP camp recently with the death of our own Shane Willis. In the midst of our sadness he would not want us to stop smiling.
***********

Think of a baby's innocent chuckle. One of the happiest sounds in the world, and extremely infectious. However as we grow from baby stage life happens.

Some people seem to be naturally happy, always wearing a smile which can be very difficult to do. Especially when asleep (unless of course you are having some wild dream about sex lol). The ones who are truly happy have a twinkle in their eye. Which brings me to another point. Is it a genuine happy twinkle or a wicked evil twinkle.

Depends on the lifestyle with regards to the latter I suppose. You never can tell. And every wicked smile holds a story to write. Thats what we do ...yes?

However a smile is often a personal mask. A cover up for a lack of confidence. And I should know. My confidence has taken so many knocks I'm an expert on how to wear a smile.

I mean consider the clown in a circus. Billed as the one to make everyone laugh, but underneath his white paint and false smile what life truths does he really hold? Also the silent movie star Buster Keaton was reputed never to have smiled in them. That was a long time ago.

Smiles are also powerful and energy saving. After all, it takes 43 muscles to frown and only 17 to smile. They are also one of the easiest and best things you can give an unhappy person.

Best of all to smile is still free. Keep smiling before there's a tax slammed on it!

The Importance of Appearances

Before I start my monthly blog contribution I would just like to nod my respects in the direction of Shane Willis, photographer and cover artist supreme for Naughty Nights Press. Sadly we lost Shane earlier this month and my heartfelt condolences have been passed to all who knew and loved him.

I first became aware of Shane's awesome talents when he designed the cover of NNP's Halloween anthology 'A Wicked and Wanton All Hallows Eve' which included my first submission to this publisher:

I just remember thinking this was one of the best covers that I had ever seen and so very fitting to the content inside! Since then we have watched in awe as cover after spectacular cover has come to light through the hard work of this dedicated man. I mean it when I say he was the best in the business and he will be a very hard act to follow in so many ways.

So appearances, apart from book covers, how do we describe our characters? Do we write the standard beefcake man and hour glass girl we know everyone will be able to visualize? Or do we deliberately write about someone plainer, maybe more realistic? One thing is for certain our book covers have to look good! The characters on the front of our sexy, erotic books need to shout out "look at me, I am hot!" don't they? Well I must admit to having seen a few covers that are determined to go against the norm in attractive females, many now show beautiful women of all shapes and sizes, though very few seem to venture towards anything less than the 'perfect' male. Personally I write characters that turn me on, I have to or there isn't any point. For me writing in this genre is all about feeling sexy and sharing those sexy thoughts with my readers. I feel every sentence, every sexual act and I fancy my characters like mad. So you will never find a tattooed 'he' man in any of my stories, they just don't do it for me though I know these males attract many women. I tend to focus more on the man himself, who he is, what he's about. That way my readers can visualize any man they please with the personality that I have given him. My females however, have several things in common so I guess I must have a 'type'!

Mia from 'Pleasing Mia':

She was just so beautiful. Her messy blonde hair was swinging outwards as she danced, coming back to land on naked tanned shoulders in unruly strands that filled Scott with an urge to stroke them tenderly away.

Her stunning face bore full lips that formed a most inviting pout, coupled with wide eyes that closed when she spun around shaking her arms above her head. Her figure was slender but still allowed the soft curve of her hips to smooth outwards along with her high, round breasts which displayed an inviting cleavage beneath the thin confines of a strappy white dress...

Hair is important to me, I think its very sensuous and feminine, in my stories the girls usually wear it long so that it can be tugged, teased and shaken.

More from 'Pleasing Mia':

“Face the wall Mia,” he said, “And don’t talk to me.”
Mia turned her head back to the wall, Scott thought he detected a glint in her eyes and a wry smile on her full lips.
He began to stroke her hair, giving short little tugs that made her head tilt back and her body shudder, he lifted a handful of it and watched it fall back into place in soft waves cascading down her curved, slender back. A slight scent of almonds wafted up and stimulated his nostrils. Scott loved Mia’s hair, the silky feel of it running through his fingers, the scent so subtle and tantalising and the way her body moved towards him with sensual response every time he touched it. For a moment he was lost in the moment wanting to fall to his knees behind her and kiss the small curve of her back before smoothing the blushing cheeks of her bottom...

Skin is also something that really turns me on and I mention it several times throughout all my stories.

'A Wicked Game' :

Lucinda removed the robe, dropping it down past her shoulders in a deliberate attempt to tease him. Standing up she let it fall to the floor. The sight of her completely naked made Peter’s mouth dry and his body tense.
Sitting back down, too close for comfort, Lucinda lifted her legs and shuffled up the bed, her small breasts jiggling as she did so. She laid right back and waited.
Peter stood. Allowing his eyes to drink in her beauty before leaning over to cup first one breast and then the other. Lucinda arched as Peter trailed his hand lazily over her curves before smoothing over her stomach and running his flattened palms down her thighs. Her skin was so soft. His touch barely made contact and Lucinda was already pushing towards him, longing for deeper caresses.
“Remember what we said about you moving Lucinda?” he breathed.
Her answer was a stifled moan.

Nylons, high heels, tickling and family...

*Whew* now that was an exciting month - and yet, still more exciting things are afoot - but I'll keep you appraised of those as they appear. So what am I talking about today? Fetish.

I've talked about tickle fetish before - and it seems it's becoming a little more widely understood and accepted in recent times than it ever has before. Perhaps because it's just so easy to get into; all you really need is a gentle caress and some mischievous fingers... So after the conclusion of the Tess Series, I am currently writing Nylon Dreams - the second book in my Tickled Series. It is mainly about the fetish of tickling, and is definitely bound up with nylons and high heels too. Why would nylons have anything to do with tickling you might ask? Well. The answer lies with the fact that tickling is all about sensations, light sensations leading to sensory overload. With whips and floggers and spanking, the sensation is often sharp or heavy, but with tickling, enhancing that lighter sensation is everything, and this is where Nylons come in. You can test the difference for yourself, and just imagine what would happen if someone else was dragging their fingers oh so slowly and lightly across your stockinged flesh? The intensity of the tickle is magnified incredibly, and well, there's also the visual stimulation of such beautiful lingerie - every little helps...

Nylons and tickling is the focus of this book - naturally, it provides so many fantastic opportunities for mischief - but also, as with all things, we don't live in a world of pure fetish 100% of the time - life must have balance. And that means family too. In Tickled Pink, Ellie found her Prince Charming, even if he was a little damaged, it was of no matter, they fell in love. One thing has led to another and in Nylon Dreams, they are married with children and another on the way. Having a family does not eradicate fetishistic feelings - if you have them, they're part of you, and as for Mark and Ellie, tickling is a huge part of who they are. It brought them together - it's what keeps them strong. So in Nylon Dreams - you can see for yourself how they combine their fetishes with a family life... and external threats...

Needless to say - I'll leave the teasing at that point and perhaps - how about an excerpt to see if I can entice you to try a little innocent tickle torture with your significant other....

A tease from Nylon Dreams

Moving his right hand slowly, he detailed intricate patterns over the top of her foot, up to her ankle, along her calf and to the sweet spot behind her knee. He felt her tense momentarily, but she didn’t try to escape, she simply let out a sigh of pleasure – that at least, he recognised. She shifted slightly, stretching and sighing, sliding her feet luxuriously over his crotch, a sensation he couldn’t help but react to. He felt himself swell and thicken as she expertly rubbed him through his trousers, she may not be ticklish at the moment, but it was clear she wanted to carry on this particular course of events. Sliding his hand down her thigh, her dress slipped away revealing her lacy stocking tops and a glimpse of purple satin and lace panties – he simply adored her lingerie choices. He was without a doubt, a very lucky man. He looked down and watched as she rubbed the length of his shaft with her feet. Tingles shot through him as the triple layer of material, his cotton boxers, woollen suit trousers, and her slippery nylon, rubbed and teased him to complete distraction. Groaning he gripped her ankles, holding her still, lifting her right leg to his lips as he kissed the inside of her ankle lightly, and moved slowly up her leg. Slowly dropping onto his knees, he held her legs open as gently as he could, savouring the tease of the nylon shimmering across the skin of his cheeks and neck.

Stopping momentarily he checked she was comfortable, it was in positions like this that the hip dysplasia would cause her the most intense pain. As the baby grew, it was gradually dislocating her hips – a condition more common than many realised, and as the birth grew closer, it would only get worse. But for now, she seemed comfortable, her eyes closed, lips parted slightly, lying on the cushions, stretched out, her neck extended so invitingly. Oh the fun he could have with a feather and her delicate throat, but for tonight, there was only one goal. He would bring her to climax if it was the last breath he took. Slowly working his way down her inner thighs, her scent of arousal filled his senses, his head spun almost as if he was drunk on her.

Waiting a few beats to see if he could hear little feet sneaking down the stairs, he satisfied himself that he couldn’t, and slipped his work tie out of his pocket. Keeping it hidden in his hand, he leaned over Ellie and kissed her lightly on the lips, taking both of her wrists gently, and before she had a chance to protest, tying them loosely together. Pulling away from their kiss, he then hooked her bound wrists behind her head. Easy for her to escape if she needed to, but enough of a restriction to give her the sensation of helplessness she adored - always a concern when their children were as inquisitive as Sherlock Holmes. Looking down, deep into her eyes, he studied her expression. She looked back at him, half smiling, concentrating, she was clearly aroused but she was also masking a lot of pain – and not the pleasurable sort. There was a tightness around her jaw that belied a grit and determination to push through her suffering, and her complexion was drawn and pale. He tried to remember the last time he’d seen the charming blush of her cheeks but it must’ve been at least a month, perhaps even longer. But for now, she appeared to be enjoying his attentions, and his need to have her laughing beneath his fingers paled into insignificance with how much he needed to give her relief from her suffering, and the endorphins from an intense orgasm would surely do that.

Kissing her once more, he continued a trail of butterfly kisses down her neck, whilst pulling her light jersey wrap-over dress apart at the bust, exposing her purple lace bra, matching her panties perfectly. Sliding a hand inside the inviting lace, he folded each cup over so that her breasts were freed from their confinement, but still pointing up and outward for his enjoyment. Her large red nipples were hard now, the sight causing him to breathe out heavily as the aching in his groin intensified. He longed to rub himself against her, feeling her warmth and softness, but he daren’t put his full weight on her. So he simply remained on all fours, and dipped his head to take her nipples in his mouth, treating each in turn. Swirling his tongue gently, he flicked and sucked and nipped her erect peaks. He delighted in her squirming and quiet whimpering, despite whatever pain she was enduring, she was very clearly nearing orgasm. Starting to kiss down her body further, he gave one last pinch to her nipples, and kissed the full swell of their growing baby. “Forgive me for ravishing your mother” he thought as he planted an extra kiss on her stomach for his child, and continued his journey to his final destination.

Without breaking pace for a minute, he hooked her panties to one side and dipped his head between her legs. Peppering kisses on her mound, sucking each of her labia into his mouth and nibbling them gently, the swollen flesh tasting so sweet to him. He considered that it was often the things you miss the most that offer the most delicious rewards. Lapping her juices, he teased her engorged clit with the very tip of his tongue, lightly tickling in tandem as he could not resist skittering his fingers along her hip bone, across the underside of her bump. He had thought perhaps that if she was aroused - her skin sensitised, that maybe, just maybe, she might be a little ticklish again. Mark tested a number of areas of bare flesh, desperately trying to elicit a response, any sort of ticklish pleasure from her - but much to his continued anguish, nothing worked. Not one twitch or movement to escape. The growing ball of frustration hardened in the pit of his stomach as each of his attempts failed. “None of this is about you Mark” he thought as he tried his hardest to focus on the situation in hand. “Finish this, give her what she needs”. Gritting his teeth, he plunged a finger inside her, whilst lapping her clit with the flat of his tongue, increasing the pressure as frenzied gasps greeted his ears. He continued his assault on her as he slipped his tongue alongside his finger, her wetness flowing like a river now. Moving down further, he feathered his tongue around her anus, causing Ellie to arch her back and cry out as her breathing became more ragged. Sliding another finger inside her and adding one to her now lubricated ass, he went back to sucking her clit as he felt her body tense beneath him. Onward, focussed now, he was not going to stop until he had attained the goal he had given himself, and as her whimpers continued, he knew he was so close to victory. Just a few seconds more and he was rewarded by Ellie’s shuddering body, her thighs clamping around his head as she spasmed with pleasure, losing control of her limbs, and yet he continued still. He knew he could force another orgasm from her, and one was never enough in his mind.

In Tribute to Shane Willis

Good morning readers.

Being an author isn't easy work. There's the plotting or panstering, the research, agonizing over edits, and finally, after you've sweated, bled and cried during the process, it's time for the release of your book.

Oh wait! I forgot about one very important step; filling out your cover sheet.

Whether you're with a publisher or not, you have an opportunity to put your story into art form. If you do it yourself, you go through thousands of pictures, looking for just the right models. Then more pictures for settings and you test the colors for the backgrounds to see if they mesh with the people on the front. It's a lot of work, and I know since I've tried doing this on my own. Believe me, having someone to put your vision into motion is a key in selling your book and when they do an awesome job on the cover,it makes the process a lot easier.

As an author who writes under 3 names, I've been blessed with some beautiful covers. I'm proud to show off any of them but my covers from NNP stand out. I never knew Shane personally but he captured the visions of my book perfectly. Whether it was my saucy menage Living in the Now or my hot gay romance Smooth Like Latte, Shane did an amazing job capturing me story.

I'll be forever grateful to him for bringing my stories to life. May he rest in peace.

A Tribute to the passing of Shane Willis

It was with a very heavy heart, that CEO of Naughty Nights Press (NNP) announced to the writers and staff that our friend and colleague, Shane Willis, owner of RadAct Photo, book cover designer extraordinaire and  “creator of photographic visions” had passed away on August 31st 2013.

The shock of Shane’s passing has not only devastated his family and friends who knew him in real life, but it has also rocked the authors of NNP, the photography community and modeling community, not to mention those who knew him through Facebook and other social media sites.

Shane had a vision for the book covers he designed for NNP and went above and beyond to make sure that they would capture a person’s imagination, making them want to read what was between the covers.
His passion was such that each cover was unique in the sense that he photographed his own models and would then add in all the little extra’s to make sure that his model was true to the character. That could be anything from change of eye or hair color—to adding tattoos or jewelry.
Shane became revolutionary when it came to digital eBooks by photographing his own models and not relying on stock photos or drawings, though there were times where he did use the odd stock photo but that was a rare occasion.
Each new cover would excite him (even the ones that were more difficult with detail).
Shane not only had a love of photography which can be seen in his published photo’s but also a love of writing. Alas he left us before he could see his dreams as an author realized and I have it on very good authority that they were excellent manuscripts.

It is hard to sum up what Shane Willis meant to each and every one of us without using the words “love”, “admire”, “inspirational” and “wonderful”, “creative”, “funny” and “a true friend”.
So I am going to end this tribute to Rodney Shane Willis with this.

Tears form at the mere mention or thought of you.
You were taken from this world far too early.
Never will you be forgotten.
Always to be remembered.
May the beauty you gave to us be forever treasured.
The world is a much quieter and duller one
Now that you have gone.
R.I.P Shane Willis
We all love you and will miss you,
Naughty Nights Press (NNP)
