Rawiya discusses Time To Make The Donuts plus giveaway...

Naughty Nights Press would like to welcome with us today, the extraordinarily diversified talents of Rawiya, who is releasing a new series that sounds absolutely delectable and delicious. The second book in the series “SOMETHING NEW ON THE MENU”, is “TIME TO MAKE THE DONUTS

NOW FOR ONE LUCKY READER WHO LEAVES A COMMENT AND THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS, THEY WILL RECEIVE THEIR OWN COPY OF “SOMETHING FRESH SERVED HOT, BOOK ONE OF THE SOMETHING NEW ON THE MENU” SERIES BEFORE IT IS RELEASED!

Thank you for joining us here today, Rawiya. Most people will already have heard of your name through the amazing amount of blogs that you guest post on, not to mention the books you have written.
Now just lately I have been trying to avoid the “tell us something about yourself” question but I think in this case you have an extraordinary tale to tell. Today though I am going to make an exception and I am sure the wrath of the Mistress will not be felt too harshly for it *giggles*
NNP: Rawiya can you explain to the readers of Naughty Nights Press, just who and what you are?
Rawiya: The other part of the triad, the third wheel. *giggle* No, I’m joking. I’ve done mostly anthology work, but my first full lengths are coming out with Naughty Nights Press. Woohoo! Not only the series but also my first MMF Living in the Now in April!
NNP:  What inspired you to write a full five book series?
Rawiya: I think BL already said we had a collection of stories and well frankly, all the tales are too good for just one book. *laughs* I mean, all different characters, situations, al relating to gay romance and food. Sounds fun to me. Why not give the readers a nice little selection of books where two men find love related to the food and restaurant business?
NNP:  What comes first, the character or the setting when you begin writing?
Rawiya: The characters. We sit down and look at photos of gorgeous men and women when I write them, to be that certain “actor” in our story. We give them a personality, sometimes doing a character arc relating to the plot and then Voila! *laughs* It’s a lovely process, really.
NNP:  What is the main quality you like to see in your characters?
Rawiya: Mine have to be sensual. I love a man who’s not afraid to show his sensitive side and be human. Not afraid to be romantic and emotional. No he doesn’t need to be a sap but above all, I look for my characters to be as real as possible, have variation and get as far away from stereotypes as we possibly can.
NNP:  What type of research do you do for your books?
Rawiya: Research on the net, through other authors books. If you have a certain subject you’re not familiar with it may take reading someone else for you to get a sense of it. I know Tara Lain helped me with my ménage. Thanks Tara. *winks*
NNP:  Can you tell us a bit about TIME TO MAKE THE DONUTS and the SOMETHING NEW ON THE MENU series?
Rawiya: Ah, it’s a fab series. As I said, men falling in love with food as a backdrop. In my story Time to Make the Donuts, it’s an interracial romance. Love em! A gay donut shop owner who’s been pressured to sell to a franchised competitor and this big time place sends in someone to distract him and make him change his mind but he doesn’t found that out till later. What a story, huh? You have to wait and see how he handles it.
NNP: Do you have any other books in the pipeline or due for release that our readers should keep an eye out for?
Rawiya: Oh yeah! After this one, Smooth Like Latte and Sugar Daddy which is based on a short I did for STARbooks is coming in this series and my MMF Living in the Now. Woohoo! *smiles*
Thank you so much for being with us today Rawiya, it has been lovely and I just know your series is going to be a big hit.
Thanks NNP for having me and giving me a chance to shine.

Something New on the Menu
The Series

In this series of stories, BLMorticia and Rawiya will correlate the uses of foods and gay male erotica in a humorous, titillating, and intriguing way. These are well written tales where the details include something about a certain kind of food or the setting exists in the food service industry.

Each one is individually crafted with its own sets of characters in our contemporary world. In some cases, there is more tension as the protagonists try to accept themselves as gay men while the others already accept this fact but struggle to gain the lover they feel they deserve.

All stories offer humor and eroticism that pushes boundaries while celebrating diversity in the gay community. This collection is meant to open the eyes to readers and give them a fresh perspective as told through female authors, BLmorticia and Rawiya.

Book Two
Time to Make the Donuts
Rawiya

Christopher owns an old time donut shop in Chicago in the heart of BoysTown he inherited from his late relative. Carrying on the tradition, he doesn’t intend to sell or franchise since he wants to pay homage to him.

Andre, a customer, comes in and pays him a visit. The two lock eyes and immediately connect on a personal level. Because of this, Christopher decides to pursue when Andre passes him his card. He wonders what the young man does for a living however, he is so smitten by him, Chris doesn’t give it much thought.

Little does the shop owner know, Andre actually works for his biggest competitor as a secret shopper and has been paid to use any method necessary to find out the secrets of the shop as well as convince him to sell his shop and become part of the national chain.

When Christopher finds out, he has a surprise for Andre and deals with him in a rather humorous way. Will he trust Andre once he finds out this fact? Will he give up his shop under the pressure the well known franchise?
